The Breakneck Gorge Retreat is located on 18 hectares on the elevated plains just outside of Hepburn Springs. While you’re only a 5 minute drive outside of Hepburn Springs, you will feel on top of the world.

Breakneck Gorge is home to two seperate private retreats, Akora and Oikos. Both names are derived of the word dwelling in Aborigional and Greek languages respectively. About half way up the 600 metre drive up to the plains, the road divides ensuring that both retreats on the Breakneck Gorge have plenty of privacy and above all, a stunning 360 degree view of the stunning countryside.

The Akora retreat is highly designed with a minimal and elegant atmosphere. This luxury retreat can host two guests for a romantic getaway in a queen bed and a stunning spa bathroom.

Interior design is moody with a bunker grey colour palette combined with wood panelled interior. The real standout feature is the three sided glass gas log fire, to keep you warm on those cold winter days, while you admire the stunning view around you.

Oikos Retreat at Breakneck Gorge

The Oikos retreat is a stunning and multi award winning retreat for its architecture and interior design. The extrodinary external angles of the building enable the open plan interior to provide 360 degree views over the local countryside.

Hosting a maximum of 2 guests with a queen bed and kitchen, the bathroom with a black concrete bathtub is the pièce de résistance.
