Borealis on the Lake, Lake Daylesford – back for 2023!
Borealis on the Lake at Lake Daylesford is back for 2023 from 20th of July until the 1st of October 2023. Following the success of 2022, with thousands of visitors enjoying the light and music spectacle it is now returning to Daylesford in the winter of 2023.
Daylesford Lake is set to form the stage again for an exciting light and sound show by Switzerland-based artist Dan Acher. Borealis on the Lake in Daylesford is bringing the Northern Lights to Central Victoria this winter.

Northern Lights in Daylesford
This mesmerising installation brings the experience of the Northern Lights to cities all over the world, and Lake Daylesford is set to become the host this winter. Borealis on the lake, promises a laser light show projected over Lake Daylesford with tranquil soundtracks that will immerse you in this form of art and technology.
Borealis is as art as a technological performance, where slight variations in colour and movement, along changing weather conditions provides a unique show, every time. Having started at Adelaide Fringe in 2018, previous locations for this prestiges show include London, Paris, Adelaide, Geneva and Abu Dhabi.
Dates and tickets
BOREALIS on the lake will be on between the 20th of July and the 1st of October, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays. The show is available between 6pm and 10pm and tickets are sold between $25 and $29 per person (depending on the night you would like to visit, with Saturday night being most expensive at $29 per person). Tickets can be purchased from the BOREALIS on the lake website here or onsite at the entrance. You will book your ticket for a specific time between 6pm and 9.30 and it is recommended that you arrive 5 to 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. This is a continuous performance and you can stay as long as you like.
Entry to the event is at the Lake Daylesford car park, right next to Boathouse Daylesford.
Parking & Shuttle Bus
Parking is available throughout Daylesford particularly at Lake Daylesford, along Vincent Street, Coles supermarket and the skatepark up Stanbridge Street. A shuttle bus will operate between Daylesford Town Hall and the entrance at Lake Daylesford car park from 5.45pm until 10pm.
