The Daylesford Cider Company is an award wining cidery with a fantastic onsite restaurant and cellar door. What started in 2003 has now become a very well established cidery where 8 styles or ciders are produced, in addition to a couple of small batch seasonal varieties.
Daylesford Cider prides itself on using 100% fresh apple juice from their own orchards without adding any additional sugar. In early 2022, the cidery was awarded “Best traditional cider” at the National Australian Cider Awards.
The cellar door and bar are open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm for a taste, a drink or buy some for at home. We can highly recommend the popular tasting paddle ($15 for 7 small glasses) to really understand the breadth of ciders that are produced here. From the quite sweet ciders, you may be used to, to some delicious dry varieties that almost taste like a sparkling wine.
On Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Mondays, the restaurant is also open for lunch at the Daylesford Cider Company serving sharing plates, wood fire pizzas and some nice fresh salads.
Most Sundays, The Daylesford Cider Company is home to some fantastic live music in the marquee on the property. Check out their website for the latest line-up and to book your tickets.
Reservations are only required for the restaurant and events (not for the cellar door) and can be made on the website of the Daylesford Cider Company.
if you don’t have time to squeeze in a visit to the cidery but still want to try these delicious ciders, head to the Daylesford Sunday Market at the railway station where they usually have a stall.
Not only is the Daylesford Cider Company dog friendly, they have their own “cider dog” named Tarker. Tarker is know to come and bring the tiniest of sticks to guests to play fetch with.
