Roll up, roll up—it’s time for the queerest, most colourful weekend of the year as ChillOut Festival 2025 bursts into life in Daylesford from the 6th to the 10th of March. Known for its cheeky charm and inclusive vibes, this year’s theme, “Rainbow Circus Spectacular,” promises to deliver dazzling performances, fabulous outfits, and plenty of glitter under the Big Top and beyond.

Set in the picturesque Daylesford, a town as warm and welcoming as your favourite drag queen, ChillOut Festival is not just an event—it’s a celebration of diversity, community, and pure unadulterated joy. The Heart of ChillOut:

ChillOut isn’t just a festival; it’s a movement. For over two decades, it has brought together LGBTIQ+ folk, allies, and fabulous friends for a long weekend of music, art, and connection. What started as a small-town festival has become a global phenomenon, attracting visitors from all over the world (okay, maybe just Australia) who are keen to let their hair down (or wear it up in a towering wig).

At its core, ChillOut celebrates inclusivity and diversity. Whether you’re waving the rainbow flag or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is welcome to join this community-focused event that champions love in all its forms.

The festival is held on Labour Day long weekend at the end of March or start of April each year, in the country town of Daylesford, Victoria, Australia. It’s a small town with only about 3000 residents but it has become known as a place where people love to visit and bring their families for a relaxing weekend away from city life.

Big Top Burlesque

Prepare to be dazzled, teased, and thoroughly entertained at the Big Top Burlesque. Feathers, sequins, and cheeky performances will take centre stage in this risqué evening of cabaret brilliance. It’s sultry, it’s fabulous, and it’s strictly for grown-ups. If you’re a fan of the dramatic and daring, this is the night to let your inner diva shine.

Pool Party

Dive into a day of sun, sass, and fabulous swimsuits at the legendary ChillOut Pool Party. Whether you’re a poolside poser or a cannonball champion, this event is all about fun and relaxation with a side of DJ beats. Grab your inflatables and don’t forget the sunscreen—it’s time to make a splash!

Bush Dance

Dust off your boots and get ready to dosey-do at the Bush Dance, a country-style party with a queer twist. With live music, barnyard vibes, and plenty of laughs, this is a chance to embrace your inner cowboy or cowgirl (or neither—yeehaw to all!). No dance partner? No worries. The Bush Dance is all about inclusion and fun!

Street Parade

The crown jewel of the festival, the Street Parade is a glittering procession through Vincent Street, showcasing everything that makes ChillOut so special. Carnival Day

Bring the whole family to this all-ages extravaganza! Carnival Day transforms Victoria Park into a hub of music, food, and fun. Pack a picnic and prepare for a day of celebration!

Opening Night Community Event

Buy a shuttle bus pass for unlimited travel across the festival route. The shuttle runs a continual loop from Jubilee Lake to Victoria Park, through Daylesford’s main street and Hepburn Springs. Wristbands are required for travel and can be collected from the Festival Hub.

Rainbow Spectacular feat. Marcia Hines

Youth Muster In The Park
