Our journey begins with the Tipperary Walking Track, which encompasses three distinct sections, each offering its own unique charm and natural beauty.

Lake Daylesford to Twin Bridges:

Distance: 2.6 km
Estimated Time: 1 hour
Commence your walk at the captivating Lake Daylesford. As you set off, meander along the narrow trail that follows the side of Wombat Creek until you reach the Twin Bridges picnic area. Be cautious when crossing the highway to access the picnic area, which provides a perfect spot to rest and rejuvenate before your return journey to Lake Daylesford.

Twin Bridges to Tipperary Springs:

Distance: 4.6 km
Estimated Time: 1.5 hours
For those seeking a longer trek, venture across the footbridge at Twin Bridges and continue along the walking track on the creek’s west side. This leg of the journey leads you to Tipperary Springs, where you can savor the taste of natural mineral water. On your return to Twin Bridges and Lake Daylesford, follow the road until you reconnect with the walking track.

Tipperary Springs to Bryces Flat:

Distance: 6.6 km
Estimated Time: 2.5 hours
Cross the footbridge beyond the picnic area, and the trail will guide you along the western side of the creek. Delight in the remnants of old gold diggings as you traverse the walking track. At Bryces Flat, make your way across the creek using the stepping stones. As you return, take the trail on the eastern side of the creek, and keep an eye out for the Mistletoe Mine, a disused mine that offers a glimpse into the area’s history.

Two Lakes Trail – Two Lakes Walk:

Immerse yourself in the natural wonders of Daylesford’s famous lakes by embarking on the Two Lakes Trail. Begin and end your journey at the Fulcher Street car park at Lake Daylesford. Follow the path clockwise around the enchanting Lake Daylesford, passing by the renowned Lake House. After crossing a small footbridge, turn left and ascend the rough track uphill. Once at Burrall Street, turn left and proceed towards Victoria Park’s entrance. Traverse the Jubilee Lake walking track, crossing the footbridge and circling the lake counterclockwise. Ascend the steep steps near the footbridge to join the old railway line. Follow the signage of the Great Dividing Trail, leading you through Cornish Hill until you reach Stanbridge Street. Finally, make your way back to the starting point at Lake Daylesford.

The Blowhole to Breakneck Gorge:

Distance: 7.6 km

Begin your adventure at the Blowhole Car Park and follow the trail to the Blowhole itself, where you can marvel at the creek diversion tunnel. Continue along the path that leads to Breakneck Gorge, and upon reaching Main Road, retrace your steps back to the starting point.

Historic Springs Trail:

Distance: 3 km
Estimated Time: 1.5 hours
Embark on this trail by starting at 10th Street. Pass through the War Memorial Gates and descend into the Hepburn Springs Mineral Reserve. Meander past the playground and follow the 4WD track that ascends into the bush. The trail guides you to the historic Hepburn Springs Swimming Pool before bringing you back towards the town.

Cornish Hill:

Commence your Cornish Hill journey at the stunning Thomas’ Lookout on Argus Hill. Follow the yellow TrailRider signage, guiding you through the remnants of the area’s gold mining past. Observe the remarkable efforts of the Friends of Cornish Hill, who have worked tirelessly to remove weeds and restore native vegetation.

Glenlyon Walk:

Embark on this scenic trail starting from the Glenlyon General Store. The path leads you along the serene Loddon River, culminating at the Glenlyon Mineral Springs and Recreation Reserve. Sailors Falls Loop Walk:

Continue your journey by following the signs for the loop walk, which guides you along an old water race towards the base of the falls. Traverse among the magnificent tree ferns and cross the footbridge over the creek to return.

Domino Trail:

Take a step back in time along the historic Domino Trail, which once served as the railway line connecting Daylesford and Carlsruhe. Commence your expedition at the historic Trentham Railway Station, where you can explore memorabilia from the golden era of rail travel. This trail winds its way through the scenic Wombat State Forest, culminating in the charming township of Lyonville. Enjoy a meal or a snack before retracing your steps along the same track. The Domino Trail welcomes walkers, cyclists, and horse riders alike. If you prefer a shorter walk, consider arranging a drop-off at the starting point in Trentham. From there, you can walk the 6 km to Lyonville and meet your transportation.

Wombat Trail:
